OCEAN INSTALLER WAS ESTABLISHED AS A SEABED-TO-SURFACE COMPANY ON THE 1ST OF JANUARY 2011.
THE POINT OF DEPARTURE FOR THE OI.II STRATEGIC POSITION IS DEFINED BY THE NEWLY ESTABLISHED COMPANY´S NEEDS TO ASSURE AUTHORITIES, INVESTORS AND CUSTOMERS REGARDING SECURITY, ECONOMY AND OPERATIVE MUSCLES – AND SIMULTANEOUSLY ATTRACT THE BEST PEOPLE IN THE COMPETITIVE JOB MARKET. FURTHERMORE, THE OI.II CULTURE IS CHARACTERIZED BY ENTREPRENEURSHIP BOLDNESS AND THEIR NORWEGIAN ORIGIN IN TERMS OF AN INFORMAL WORK ENVIRONMENT AND FLAT AND DEMOCRATIC ORGANIZATION STRUCTURE. CONSEQUENTLY WE SET OUT TO CONSISTENTLY BALANCE TWO OPPOSITE/AMBIGUOUS COMMUNICATION TASKS.
SERIOUSNESS IN TERMS OF COMPETENCE, TECHNOLOGY AND ORGANIZATION IS THUS MARRIED TO THE CONCEPTS OF PIONEERING SPIRIT, EXPLORER DETERMINATION AND ENTREPRENEURSHIP CREATIVITY. INSPIRATIONS TO THE LATTER ARE VERNE´S TALES OF CAPTAIN NEMO, THE EXPEDITIONS OF HEYERDAHL, ROCKET SCIENCE AND THE NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC SOCIETY. WE SOUGHT TO BALANCE A MATTER-OF-FACTISHNESS WITH A AN ART DIRECTION THAT GIVES WAY TO A MORE MYSTIFIED INTERPRETATION OF WHAT EXISTS IN BETWEEN THE SEABED AND THE SURFACE, THE DEEP, THE FRONTIER OF THE OCEAN INSTALLER ADVENTURE.
