ROMANTIC DRAMAS, A CATHOLIC MASS, THE SOUND OF THE OCEANS, BROADWAY AND CHARLIE CHAPLIN. STAVANGER SYMPHONIC ORCHESTRA TOOK SEATS IN THE NEW CONCERT HALL LAST FALL AND DEMONSTRATES THROUGHOUT THE SEASON 2012/13 WHAT A MULTIFACETED INSTRUMENT A SYMPHONIC ORCHESTRA IS CAPABLE OF BEING.
THE SSO LOGO IS ITSELF VISUALLY RESONANT, AND SIGNIFIES ECHOES RESONATING FROM A CYMBAL. NO MATTER HOW YOU READ THE LOGO, IT IS INTENDED TO CREATE A VISUAL ECHO THROUGH A STRICT GRAPHIC REPETITION IN THE SHAPE OF CIRCULAR ILLUSTRATIONS, REPRESENTING EACH CONCERT/SHOW.
